Prime Minister in Pains and Tears: Ablakwa Shades Gabby

Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has thrown subtle shades at the President's cousin, Gabby Otchere-Darko in late hours of Tuesday, August 15, 2023. 



Earlier in the day, Ghanaweb published a news story which indicated that according to the Member of Parliament, his "Kitchen Cabinet Scandal" has compelled the government to back down from paying GH¢ 187 million judgement debt.



Reacting to the publication on X (formerly Twitter), Gabby Otchere-Darko who was the main subject in the alleged scandal responded that the MP created a scandal against his own NDC. "You've made Ken Ofori-Atta look good for standing up 2 years against his influential cousin, representing his client with a good case over a contract President Mahama awarded, which you now question!", he tweeted. 

The MP was quick to reply on his Facebook page, stating that "Prime minister in pains and tears", part of his post read with laughter emojis.

Sad News: Former MP for Kpandai Constituency has Passed Away

Former Member of Parliament for Kpandai Constituency, Hon. Kojo Tawiah Likpalimor has sadly passed away.  His death, which is believed to have happened in the early hours of Tuesday, September 19, 2023 was announced by the Constituency General Secretary, Mr. Nyong Sapaku Robert after being informed by the family.  The late Likpalimor served as a member of parliament and a minister of state, representing the people of Kpandai from 1992 to 2012.  The cause of his death and illness before his passing has not been revealed yet, however he is said to have died at the Tamale Teaching Hospital. We extend our profound gratitude to the grieving family and the entire NDC.

Management of the Kwame Knrumah University of Science and Technology have announced the establishment of KNUST Day of Giving to raise funds for the construction of an ultramodern 2,000-bed capacity hall of residence for students.  The official day set for the 24hour global online fundraising of the KNUST Day of Giving has been slated for Friday, 6th October, 2023 after the Chancellor earlier officially launched the initiative.
