Kojoboni Amankrado: Let us Establish a Yam Market for our People

The Amankrado for the Kojoboni Community in the Kpandai District of the Northern Region of Ghana, Papa Kwaku Philip (Nana) has reignited the call for a yam market in the town.

Speaking at the Kojoboni Annual Yam Festival on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, he reiterated that the community needs a deserving yam market.

The community is a farming community, and boasts as one which contributes to the food needs of the people of Kpandai and Ghana atlarge.

Establishing the yam market, he revealed, will help farmers and buyers as well as creating jobs for the youth.

Nana Amankrado also urged all people in the community to advocate peace, and see each other as people of Kojoboni, rather than landlords and subordinates.

The occasion brings together all people in the community, regardless of ethnicity for celebration and to thanks the gods and ancestors for the year's yield.
